Paint correction has limits. We agree a realistic outcome and avoid removing more paint than the result justifies.

Paint correction

What machine polishing can improve

Machine polishing can reduce swirls, wash marks, dullness and other correctable defects. The achievable result depends on the paint, the depth of the damage and how safely it can be improved.

  • Swirl marks
  • Wash marring
  • Dullness
  • Oxidation, where suitable
  • Lighter scratches, where safely correctable

Some marks cannot be safely removed. We’ll explain the limits before work begins.

A considered recommendation

We start with the car, not the package

Tell us what bothers you about the paint and what you want the finished car to look like. We’ll assess its condition and recommend the level of work that offers a worthwhile, realistic improvement.

  • Paint condition
  • The improvement you want
  • How you use the vehicle
  • How long you plan to keep it
  • Your budget and priorities
  • Whether Ceramic coating or PPF is being considered

A smaller scope can be the right answer. More stages are recommended only when the paint and intended result support them. If you are considering PPF or Ceramic, tell us during the assessment so the polishing work can be planned around that choice.

Andy’s 1991 BMW E30 received a two-stage enhancement after a paint-depth assessment, with touch-ins and separate interior and soft-top care. The work was planned around that car’s condition.Workshop example · Level 2 · 1991 BMW E30
