My top 5 products to use for great maintenance washes

I’ve listed a few of my favourite products to use in the wash process. As with everything follow the directions on the bottles, they are there for a reason.

1. Pre-Cleaner: Bilt Hambers Auto foam a pre-cleaner to spray over the whole car prior to the first rinse this stuff is by far one of the best pre-cleaners I’ve used. You can put it through a foamer or use a spray bottle both work well.
2. Wash mitt: Gtechniq make a nice microfibre wash mitt. There are similar ones available but this style is my favourite.
3. Shampoo: A nice coating friendly shampoo called Gyeon Restart. It contains an iron remover which helps keep iron-based contamination at bay whilst lifting that general every day dirt build-up.
4. Fallout remover (every 6 months or so): Gyeon make a lovely one, less pongy than your average fallout remover which gets a tick in my book.
5. Wheel cleaner: Bilberry Wheel Cleaner, a controversial wheel cleaner but one that I’ve used for years it is super safe to use on wheels and surrounding components.
